What access do you need?

Typically 3 m wide access for Valtra/MEWP. If not, we can stage from the highway with traffic management.

Is mechanised removal cheaper than climbing?

On brittle ash or large roadside trees, mechanised is usually quicker and safer, so total job cost is often lower.

Can you work without a full road closure?

Yes — many jobs run under 2-way lights after a traffic management assessment.

Do you sort TPO/conservation area consent?

Yes — we help with applications and provide method statements where required.

About Us

Tristan Merry-Howe started Arbcore in 2002, he is a City and Guilds NPTC chainsaw trainer and assessor. With thousands of hours of tree climbing, chainsaw and forestry experience, along with having run the construction and maintenance of some of Wales best known mountain biking centres, Tristan now oversees the running of Arbcore, visits clients to provide quotes and manages the teams across the multiple ‘arms’ of the business: Tree Surgery, Forest Services, Landscaping, Training and Assessment, Trail Building and Tree Surveys and Inspections.

We’re professional, skilled arborists, machine operators, and operate a customer focused approach to serving our customers, and we have been doing for over 20 years. Our tree surgeons are highly qualified, we are properly insured and highly trained to deliver work that exceeds the expectations of clients. Our staff won’t deliver any unpleasant surprises.
